This miniature village/stage set is inspired by the 1919 German expressionist horror film, "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari". It is my fantasy recreation of Holstenwall, the little hill town where the story takes place, and my attempt to capture in an abstracted way the eerie feel of the sets of this rather disturbing film.
