Dyed Costello, Dyed Bird's Eye Maple, Dyed English Sycamore, English Maple. Two compartments. This emblematic De Stijl house by Gerrit Thomas Reitveld begged to become a box. The 'roof' lifts off to uncover the top compartment, a large, deep tray which lifts out, uncovering the bottom compartment and putting in relief the formal structure of the box.
